Inga Gykyte is a soprano from Kaunas, Lithuania. She studied at Vytautas Magnus University Music Academy under the tuition of Assoc. Prof. Rita Novikaite. Later on, she took classes with Prof. Barbro Marklund.
She successfully participated in international vocalist competitions in Lithuania, Italy and Serbia where she won first places and nominations. She was awarded with a letter of appreciation from President of the Republic of Lithuania Gitanas Nauseda for achievements in the international competitions.
She has made roles as Lauretta in the Puccini opera “Gianni Schicchi”, Mary in C. W. Gluck comic opera “Der Bekehrte Trunkenbold”, Alcina in G.F. Handel opera “Alcina” (pocket opera concert tour).
She then worked at Kaunas State Philharmonic as a choir singer and sang in the production of C. Saint-Saens opera “Samson et Dalila”, also in other projects as C. Orff – “Carmina Burana”, V. Bellini – “I Puritani”, W. A. Mozart – “Requiem” etc.
Now, she continues her studies at Barratt Due institute of music with Prof. Torgun Birkeland.
