Primary school class
Offered to pupils in compulsory primary and secondary school age. This offer is provided in co-operation with the Oslo Music & Culture School.
Music side class
Primarily for youths in upper secondary school, though should not be mistaken for the music branch of study. As well as the joint activities, pupils get further education in the music subjects, and are required to undertake an internal examination.
Conservatory class
This class is for youths that have progressed significantly in their instrumental development. As well as the joint activities, this class also offers the possibility of:
- Individually suited programmes for optimal development
- Own or shared recital
- Additional concerts
- Extra help during soloist commissions
- International orientation and competitions
- Master classes
- Extended accompanists and interpretation
- Piano as a second instrument
The conservatory class will meet approximately every 3rd week, about 15 times per year. During larger projects, some sessions may be combined. All members of the Conservatory class that are living in Eastern Norway are also members of the music side class.
Individual solutions
All members living in Eastern Norway will be offered weekly classes (an average of twice per week) for 30 weeks a year as well as special projects. Pupils from further afield (those living more than 2.5 hours away from Barratt Due) will be offered 15 sessions per year. Those from further away can still apply for the 30-week period, but will then be expected to attend in the same manner as those living closer to Barratt Due.
Junior talent school
The junior talent school is offered to applicants who achieve the required standard in their audition, but were not offered a place.
