The Education
In the music kindergarten, we take the child's own personal assumptions into account and adjust it according to their level. The children learn through different activities, as we believe that learning by doing is the best way. Natural subjects are therefore singing and song activities, music and movement, listening and experience, improvisation and creativity, and games.
The Structure
The education is delivered as weekly group sessions, about 30 times per year. A complete list of dates is handed out at the start of the year. For the children ages 0-4 years, the sessions are 45 minutes. For 5 and 6 year olds, the sessions are 60 minutes.
The groups are divided according to age: infants, and individual groups for those aged between 1 and 6. After the age of 1, all children born the same year are in the same group.
For infants and 1-3 year olds, an adult needs to accompany the child to the session.
The education takes place over the course of a year, and the pedagogic plan assumes that you complete the year. For this reason, there are limited opportunities to join these classes once the education has already started. The kindergarten is also in step with the Oslo School's calendar regarding vacation and holidays, with the education starting around the 1st September.
Financial Details
The term fee (2640 NOK for 0-4 year olds and 2800 for 5-6 year olds, two terms a year) is paid at the start of each term.
The term fee must be paid before the start of the first session. Invoices are mailed well in advance of term starting.
If one accepts a spot in the music kindergarten, one commits economically for a full term. The child will automatically be accepted to the spring term unless Baratt Due receives a written letter of withdrawal. Withdrawal must be made before the 1st of December.
Reimbursement will not be made if a child is absent, however if the session is cancelled more than twice in a term, then a reimbursement will be made.
