This course is offered to students aiming for a professional career as a performer and/or instrument teacher.
The objective of the BA course is to educate musicians who have:
- A high level of instrumental competence and ability to formulate and communicate artistic expression
- The ability to reflect and understand the place and role of music in society
- Adaptability and willingness to change in response to the different tasks and situations musicians may face when working as performers or teachers
Curricular essentials:
- Principal instrument. Master classes, interpretations and class sessions, regular concertizing.
- Performance oriented projects. Symphony orchestra, opera, chamber orchestra, chamber music.
- Academics and performance oriented disciplines in close collaboration through themed projects.
- Chamber music – an essential discipline.
- Entrepreneurship and concert production.
- Subjects are foundational and essential to an eclectic and broad understanding of music as a discipline.
- Subjects and activities native to individual sections.
